Default 187th Airborne Soldier MIA since 1951 Identified

Cpl. Lawrence A. Meredith, HQ Co., 1st BN, 187th Airborne RCT became MIA 13 FEB 1951 while proceeding to Co. A to set up barbed-wire fortifications with five other soldiers when their vehicle was attacked and overrun by the opposing forces near Kamaji (Wonju), South Korea (AGPS-D 201)

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Joint POW/MIA Accountability Command (JPAC) and countless others, my uncle's remains were collected, identified, and given a proper burial with full military honors.

A follow-up story should be posted by 30 OCT.
